The City of Perth Concert Band is our dynamic ensemble that has evolved from bridging school-to-community music into a respected force in the concert band movement. Our mission centres on delivering outstanding musical performances while maintaining an accessible environment that attracts both emerging and experienced musicians seeking artistic excellence.

The Concert Band was the second ensemble formed under the City of Perth Band. It originated from a junior training band that began in July 1994, following concerns about the low number of school music program graduates continuing to play music after their school commitments ended.
Initially focused on brass instrument players, it evolved into a standalone mixed-age Concert Band in 1996 to better align with educational music programs.
